“The God Who Steps Towards Us”

There are days when faith feels easy, and days when it feels like all we can manage is one small step. What James reminds us is simple but powerful: God always closes the distance.

When we take even the smallest step toward Him— a whispered prayer, a quiet moment on the porch, a breath of honesty, a simple “Lord, I need You”— He meets us with more grace than we expected.

We don’t have to climb a mountain. We don’t have to have perfect words. We don’t have to be strong.

We just have to turn toward Him.

And the God who stepped into our world through Christ still steps toward us today—bringing peace, steadying our hearts, and reminding us that we’re never walking alone.

Prayer: Lord, help me take one step toward You today. Meet me with Your peace, and steady my heart with Your presence. Amen.
